Its hard to get it "tight" to the side of the bed without wrecking the mattress but its snug enough that I am not worried. It's doing its job well. I have caught my 2 year old up against it a couple times.

We use this bed rail for our 3 1/2 year old's single bed. It was very easy to install, fits perfectly, works very well and is very sturdy. The gate easily folds down so our daughter can easily get in and out of bed. The price was much more reasonable than others we have seen on the market. This is a great buy.

I was looking for a bed rail that would fit a daybed for when my grandson visits. There were pricier rails, but this one was perfect for us. It can be lowered when he isn't sleeping and is sturdy. The bedrail is affordable and represents great quality. I would definitely recommend this!
